Creating and modifying sources

Introduction

On this page, you can create sources, or modify or delete existing ones. Sources are used to specify the method of procuring an external party (for example customers, suppliers, and associates).

Roles and rights

To create, modify, or delete sources, function right 497 – Maintain CRM sources is required. By default, users with the Customer manager role have this function right.

Note:

  • For more details on roles, go to System ? Setup ? Security ? Roles.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 240 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create sources?

  1. On the page, click New.
  2. Under the Source section, type a code for the source at Code.
  3. Type a description for the source at Description.
  4. Click Save.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.

How do I modify sources?

  1. On the page, click the hyperlink of the corresponding source under the Code column to be modified.
  2. Make the necessary changes.
  3. Click Save.

How do I delete sources?

  1. On the page, click the hyperlink of the corresponding source under the Code column to be deleted.
  2. Click Delete. A message "Confirm: Delete?" will be displayed.
  3. Click OK.
